Tiny Grateful Teeth

The forest floor feels alive with mulch and snails and tiny creatures that devour the earth beneath our feet.

I painted this piece from a reference I took at Klaasenbosch. I wanted the earth to feel alive. So much of the world amongst the trees is hidden to us and I had this distinct feeling of walking among the unseen - hidden from sight but also hidden in time, what was before and what was to come and what is hidden to us always in a different realm.
